A colourful illuminated typography installation, inspired by the rich industrial history of the city. The installation delivers a positive and hopeful message to the people of Bradford and playfully provokes a calming moment of thought, self reflection, reassurance and optimism for the future.
The phrase, “There Are Brighter Times Ahead” acknowledges that there will be highs and lows but remaining optimistic is crucial both as an individual and as a community. It realises the struggle that people are going through and gives them a moment of reflection that will hopefully stay with them.
BRIGHTER TIMES is part of Bradford is LiT – A district-wide festival of light which culminated on Friday 5 and Saturday 6 Nov 2021 in Bradford city centre.
