Le Grande Départ Mural

As part of Le Tour De France visiting Yorkshire for Le Grande Départ in Leeds, I was commissioned by East Street Arts in partnership with Leeds City Council to paint a mural on the first leg of the route.

I wanted to capture the element of struggle which is fundamental to Le Tour Dé France race. I also used this as an opportunity to create a stronger relationship between my illustration and my painting. You can see more images of the painting on the Le Tour Dé France Mural project page.
