The Westcliff Welcome is a bold, colourful lettering mural that greets visitors to Westcliff-on-Sea as they leave the train station and head towards the high street.
I was commissioned by the Westcliff Community Partnership, in collaboration with Southend-on-Sea City Council, to design and create a mural that adds vibrant colour to an otherwise grey area, transforming both the space and the experience of those moving through it.
The lettering styles are inspired by local typography, and the uplifting message is complemented by flowing, colourful forms inspired by waves, tidal currents, and the movement of people through this high-footfall area.
