I was invited to take part in Multi-Stories, a project with the goal of turning a grey multi storey car park into a vibrant gallery of contemporary murals.
The brief was very open and the key point was to share or represent a story. I often get questions about my creative process, so I decided I would explore a story about the process of creating work.
I used this project as a fun opportunity to explore a slightly new method of working by creating a rough collage that would inspire the final artwork. The final painting took some inspiration from visual references found around the car park, like the iconic P. This strict graphic aesthetic was offset with a more fluid exploration into varying mark making techniques using a range of different tools.
The aim of all of this was to have fun in the process.
